Process
At the onset of any project, an interactive workshop is conducted to establish the goals, expectations and parameters the design is to embody. These workshops are led by one of the firm's Principals who will act as Director of Design and follow the project to its completion. Needs are clearly defined including the budgetary, scheduling and technical constraints and opportunities. Communication is critical throughout the design process. The Director of Design, together with the project team, generates conceptual design studies synthesizing all input to establish a clear design direction. They must ensure that the development of the design is consistent and appropriate in building upon the spirit of the conceptual strength of the project. Like the Principals, the team members are generalists, involved in every phase of the process to ensure project success. The Client is an integral member of the team and the holistic design process.
